Based in the coastal town of Hafnarfjörður, we combine nearly two decades of living, exploring, and guiding in Iceland with a deep passion for storytelling and hospitality. Our goal is to make every journey feel personal — never rushed, never generic — but tailored to you.
We specialize in small-group private tours, with a maximum of 8 guests.
This intimate format allows us to offer a personalized approach, full flexibility, and the kind of attention that large bus tours simply cannot match.
Whether you're a family, a couple, a group of friends, or business travelers, we create journeys that align with your pace, interests, and expectations. We want each guest to feel comfortable, inspired, and fully immersed in the magic of Iceland.
All of our tours are conducted in English and Polish, ensuring clear communication and a stress-free experience for every traveler.

Meet the Team
Matt
Professional tour guide educated at the official Icelandic Guide School, with nearly two decades of experience in Icelandic tourism.
My name is Mateusz — but most people call me Matt or Matti.
My Icelandic journey began in 2006, when I arrived on this island as a 22-year-old. What was meant to be a short adventure quickly became a new chapter of my life. Iceland captured my heart, both through its landscapes and because it is here that I met the love of my life. Today, with our three wonderful children, Iceland is our home.
My passion for travel started early, but the 2010 Eyjafjallajökull eruption changed everything. Witnessing it up close sparked a deep fascination with Icelandic nature and pushed me toward guiding.
Since 2014, I’ve worked in tourism — first as a driver of large tour buses, learning to navigate Iceland’s extreme weather and challenging roads. This experience shaped me into a responsible, confident, and safety-focused driver.
But guiding small groups is where I found my true calling.
I love meeting people, sharing stories, and showing Iceland from the perspective of someone who knows it deeply. Seeing guests’ reactions as they experience this country’s magic is something I never get tired of.
I’m currently completing the final stage of obtaining my official guiding diploma, continuously expanding my knowledge and skills to offer the best possible experience.

Aneta
The heart of our logistics, planning, and guest care.
My name is Aneta, and my Icelandic story started in 2004 when I moved here with my family. Just like Matt, I’ve always been curious about the world, new cultures, and new adventures — it’s a part of who I am.
But I also have another passion: organizing absolutely everything.
Planning, logistics, structure — this is where I feel at home. I love when everything runs smoothly, and every detail is in exactly the right place. This "organizational superpower" plays a huge role in making sure our guests’ journeys are perfectly arranged from start to finish.
Within Cool Holidays Travel, I take care of logistics and behind-the-scenes coordination.
My goal is simple:
you should feel completely relaxed and free to enjoy Iceland, while I handle the rest.
When guests tell me that their trip was magical and stress-free, it gives me the greatest joy. I truly believe that a well-planned journey is the foundation of an unforgettable adventure.
