Terms and conditions

1. Definitions 

**Company** – Cool Holidays Travel ehf (reg. no. 680125‑0150), Icelandic Day‑Tour Licence 2025‑036. 

**Client** – the contracting party booking the service. 

**Tour** – any transfer or excursion offered on this website. 

 

2. Prices & currency 

All prices are in **ISK**. Islandsbankinn selling rate on the payment date. Card‑issuer fees may apply.

 

3. Payments 

* Total < 100 000 ISK – 100 % within 72 h of booking 

* Total ≥ 100 000 ISK – 50 % within 72 h, balance ≥ 14 days before start 

* 5 % surcharge for payments via American Express or Diners (non‑refundable) 

Unpaid bookings are cancelled automatically.

 

4. Complimentary airport transfer 

Bookings of all day‑tours in one order include free pick‑up & drop‑off at Keflavík (KEF) airport.

 

5. Cancellation by client

Third‑party activities, hotels or services arranged on your behalf are **non‑refundable**. Refunds are issued only to the original payment card.

 

6. Cancellation / changes by Company 

We may alter or cancel a Tour due to weather, road closures or other force majeure. We will offer an alternative date or full refund; no further liability is accepted.

 

7. Client responsibilities 

Provide accurate information and be punctual (airport wait ≤ 90 min after landing; other pick‑ups ≤ 10 min). Follow guide instructions and respect Icelandic nature – off‑road driving is strictly prohibited.

 

8. Insurance 

Our vehicles and operations are covered by mandatory Icelandic insurance. We strongly recommend that all passengers obtain personal travel insurance.

 

9. Liability 

Nothing herein excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. For other losses our liability is limited to the amount paid for the Tour. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

 

10. Governing law 

These Terms are governed by Icelandic law. Consumers may also bring claims under the laws of their EEA country of residence.
